2015 Summer Blogger Promo Tour – Amber & Jessica from The Book Bratz

Welcome to the one of the stops of the 2015 Summer Blogger Promo Tour, hosted by The Book Bratz! This is a summer-long tour where we’ll be introducing you to different book bloggers and their awesome blogs every Sunday – if you’re interested in learning more about the tour, click here!

Today I will be featuring Amber & Jessica from
The Book Bratz

Tell us a little about yourselves.

Jessica: I’m seventeen years old and about to become a high school senior! (*gasp*) I absolutely love reading – I don’t think I’ve been able to put a book down since my fifth birthday. I’m also already a published author (I was published at age fifteen) – my book is titled Switch by Jessica Lyn Cozzi! As for the more mundane things about me, I love Nutella, Degrassi, and sleeping. Definitely sleeping.

Amber: I am seventeen also (Ten days earlier!) and now a high school senior. I am really bad at math and dealing with people so I hide behind books. Besides behind the pages of a book I can be found sleeping or watching TV.

How did you start book blogging?

Jessica: Amber actually reached out to me in our freshman year of high school! We’ve been friends for a long time but never talked about more than books. So one day she asked if I wanted to start a book blog (it was through Goodreads messaging, I remember), I said yes, and The Book Bratz was born!
Amber: What Jessica said! It was all my idea! *wink*

Describe your favourite bookish memory.

Jessica: This BookCon this past May. Oh man, that was one of the best days of my life and I’ll never forget it. We met tons of awesome authors, got TONS of books, met so many of our blogger friends in person, and even got to hit up The Strand and Little Italy for dinner afterwards! (We’re native New Yorkers, but the night out was still fun.)

Amber: Jessica needs to stop stealing my answers, but I will add on to that day. I met Sarah J. Maas and she complimented my outfit! I had a moment after I left her table.

Which are your favourite genres to read and why?

Jessica: Mine is YA contemporary. I’m not a huge fan of anything else. I just love that everything that happens in those books are so real – they can happen to anybody, even you or me.
