It has been two years since Violet Eden walked away from the city, her friends, her future and - most importantly - her soulmate, Lincoln. Part angel, part human, Violet is determined to stand by the promises she made to save the one she loves.

Living in the perpetual coldness of a broken soul she survives day to day as a Rogue Grigori in London.

But when an unexpected visitor shows up at her door, the news he bears about someone she swore to protect leaves Violet with no choice.

Even worse, she fears that this might all lead back to the night she tries hardest to forget. And what was taken without her permission.

Violet is going back to New York ... and she knows exactly who is going to be there.

With Phoenix in her dreams and Lincoln in her heart she knows it is only a matter of time before the final choice must be made.

How can I write this review? The series being done and there will be no more Violet and Lincoln to keep me entertained with their Grigori ways. How can I say goodbye to this series? The Violet Eden Chronicles started off with a huge amount of buzz and I even remember the cover reveal when I posted it on the blog, I was so excited.

Contrary to popular belief, I enjoy angel books. There is just something about angelic beings that gets me to want to read them all. This series is no exception. It’s one of my favourites. I’ve grown to love these characters and I can’t wait to own the entire set and be like, “I have the collection complete and I can’t wait to re-read them all in one go so I can read about my fave characters all over again.”

The only thing that I had trouble with was the pacing of the plot. There was a climax in the end and yes that was predictable but I found that the romance outshone the entire storyline with Angelic war. I felt Vi was so enraptured with Lincoln this time that it took the focus off of her rescue mission.

The heartache, the emotions, the feels I felt during this entire novel was transparent. I laughed and teared all at the same time. Overall, this is a must-read series that you need to get started on!

Now the time has come for me to read this series, from beginning to end, and I am super excited. But definitely sad all the same. I love this story. I love the characters. Everything about it pretty much. I can’t wait to see where it goes and how it ends!
