Book Haul: Stacking the Shelves #29 – The Birthday Edition

stacking the shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. For the week of November 18th-24th, 2012

Hey Book Nerds!!

A week recap of all the posts are listed below. Make sure to drop by and comment! I love reading your comments and feedback <3

Weekly Updates

In keeping with my hiatus, I decided not to read as fast as I have the previous month. I thought 18 books was too insane, and so far I’ve only read 13 books.

I’m also working away on client work, and I forgot to include Jackie’s design! Here’s her new blog updated. The header is still a work in progress with the illustrator, for he had gotten injured from Hurricane Sandy and hurt his arm. EEKS! He’s all right though.

I also went to the Apoclypsies tour at my Chapters and met the wonderful Canadian authors Megan Crewe, Cheryl Rainfield, Lesley Livingston, Maureen McGowen, and Leah Bobet! Recap post will be up soonish.

Until next week Book Nerds! Salutes

Very fun haul! I’m loving that page you’re working on too! Great so far! I have a feeling that when I read Storm I’m going to wish I had Spark to dive right into afterwards! I’d LOVE to get my hands on Prodigy to see if I like it better then I did Legend. I’m so jealous you met Libba Bray btw! Too cool!

This is the first time I’m hearing of Trapped so I’m off to Goodreads to check it out. I’ve read to read Spark (although I did pick it up and read a few chapters) but I really liked Storm. I like historicals but I actually haven’t heard much about Keeping the Castle; I’ll be interested to know what you think about it. And I agree, though I haven’t seen the cover in person it is lovely! I Hunt Killers sounds creepy, especially that dust jacket! I’m most excited to get my hands on 52 Reasons To Hate My Father.

I’m happy that you got your hands on two of your most anticipated 2013 releases – go you 🙂 Great book hauland Happy Reading!

I’m kind of drooling over that cover of The Hobbit. Like someone else mentioned, not necessarily a fan of LotR but I loooove The Hobbit.

I know those last 4 are from the buy 3 get 4th free right? I’m tryyyying to avoid going to Chapters because I know I won’t be able to resist. So many good books. I won an ARC of Prodigy so I should be able to read that one soon!

I’m so excited for Prodigy and Revolution 19! Legend was amazing. I really enjoyed how it was more of an adventure novel than a futuristic romance. 🙂 I hope you enjoy all of your books and happy birthday, Giselle! 🙂

I read about 2 books in a week, sometimes 3. I have lot of books on my TBR shelf, but it`s growing faster than I can read 🙂

    * That version of The Hobbit is SO FREAKING COOL!! I adore it! To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings books (love the movies though), but I really enjoyed The Hobbit. The writing style is completely different.
    * AND OH MY FREAKING GOD! I’m so jealous of Prodigy and Revolution 19!!
    * I’ve heard great things about Gone Girl too. I got a copy from a friend but I haven’t gotten around to reading it yet *shame*. It sounds great though. 🙂
    * I’ve been dying to read 52 Reasons! It sounds awesome and omg have you seen the book trailer? It’s one of the better ones out there, in my opinion.
    * I wasn’t totally crazy about Midnight City. I love the idea but loads of questions just never got answered. 🙁 Kind of a bummer! It has some great ideas in it though.
    * I loved Valkyrie Rising and I hope you do too! Norse mythology? Awesome?!?!

** Yes I had to comment on almost freaking everything! **

Enjoy all your new books Giselle! And happy birthday!!! ♥
