Feature and Follow Friday #10

Question of the Week:

Q: What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaption of because you think the movie could never live up to the book?

Only one book???? Hmm that’s a tough one. I’m going to have to go with Legend by Marie Lu. It’d be great to see it follow the book, but the content in the book and the world building will have to be exceedingly on point or fans will get angry.

I haven’t read Legend yet, but I can see where you are coming from considering the many positive reviews and the blurb. 😀

I’ve not read Legend yet, but it’s definitely up there on my humungous TBR list! I’ve heard so many good things!

I think it’s true of a lot of dystopian books – the world building would be difficult to do in a movie – and unfortunately not all are as sympathetically done as The Hunger Games!

    Happy Friday!

Wholly agree with you. It would be really hard for it to strike the balance of not too much but just enough like L.A. in my mind.
I have this very distinct image of what it looked like, and I’d hate to see it destroyed.

I haven’t read this book yet, but I would have to agree with you. There are a few books that I’ve read, where certain things would have to be on point for sure in order to make sure the book translated well to film and the audience didn’t feel a bit of a disengaging there.
