Q&A: BookTuber Anabel at Into the Book Corner

We all know there are book bloggers, but there are also BookTubers on YouTube who talk about books. Here are some of my favourites! Make sure to drop by and check their videos out.

Tell us a little about yourself.

Hi! My name is Anabel. I’m 22 years old, I love to read books and talk to a camera. I live a really ordinary life in NYC.

How long have you been book tubing?

I’ve been booktubing for almost 2 years now. Since August 2012! but it doesn’t feel like it’s been that long.

Which video is your favourite one to film? (Reviews, book hauls, tag, etc.)

My favorite videos to film are book hauls. I’m excited while filming them and I think people get excited watching them, at least I do, I love book hauls.

How has book tubing changed the way you read? Do you read more from other genres you never considered before?

I read SO much more now! Before I started booktubing I used to read about 2 books a month and now I read about 8-10. This has caused my book collection to increase incredibly! I mostly read Young Adult books but about a year ago I discovered New Adult books through Goodreads and I read those a lot now!

Name your top 5 favourites authors.

Wow this is a tough question. I’m going to go with Richelle Mead, Lauren Oliver, Rainbow Rowell and Gayle Forman.

Name your top 5 favourite books.

I love so many books. This is one of the hardest questions ever! Okay I’m going to stare at my bookshelves for a while and try to answer this one. Okay, I got them. My most favorite books right now are Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins, Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi, and Where She Went by Gayle Forman.

Do you have any tips for new BookTubers?

Hmm, the greatest tip I can give new Booktubers is to make a twitter account. It’s a great way to interact with other Booktubers and subscribers!
