Q&A: RazOrbill Blogger of the Month

I’m RazOrbill’s Blogger of the Month! I answer five questions about books, blogging, and authors.

How did you or why did you name your blog what you named it?

I was tossing ideas for names with my friends, and my friend Stephen who is a graphic designer mentioned “book nerd.” I thought it was perfect. It’s definitely complimented my personality and would be great for SEO purposes.

Do you prefer hardcover, paperbacks, or e books over others? Or do you like all three?

I prefer hardcover books because they last a lot longer and they look gorgeous sitting on the bookshelves.

Do you have any advice or tips for aspiring bloggers or first time bloggers?

The first tip is to just read and review books that you want. Don’t compare yourself to other book bloggers and their blog stats. Some have been doing this for years and you’re only starting out. Don’t be discouraged if you have low visits. People will come eventually. Keep a calendar with all your blog posts, and schedule your posts. It help save you time instead of publishing a post every day. I recently posted a new feature on my blog called The Newbie’s Guide to Book Blogging, so make sure to check it out for more tips.

Thank you razOrbill for that fun little spotlight!

Awww! Congrats, Book Nerd! Love it by the way. I am a total nerd, books and all. Loved your answers. While I will read a book in any format, I love Hardcovers. They are so pretty. But sometimes the paperback covers are prettier and it is such a confusing decision. Sigh. Congrats again, and I look forward to getting some tips with your newbie’s guide.
