I apologize for the lateness, but better late than never, I say!

Last year, I went to the YA Apocalypse Book Tour which had the wonderful Canadian authors Megan Crewe, Cheryl Rainfield, Lesley Livingston, Maureen McGowen, and Leah Bobet.

They introduced each other and said who they were and a little bit about themselves.

The downside to this tour was that there was no emcee to talk and no microphone at all so the authors had to project their voices. I’m sure they would have felt more comfortable if they had microphones.

Also the area wasn’t curtained or screened off so it was terribly annoying and rude when people would walk right in front and disturb the dynamic of the speeches.

Each author answered questions from the authors and I was fortunate enough to take some notes on my phone.

After all the questions and answers we finally met the authors and got to talk to them one on one. I talked to each one and chatted a bit about books, blogging and life in general. Each one was a delight to talk to, and I pretty much felt giddy taking in all their literary awesomeness.

I was also lucky to see these fabulous ladies on their Apocalypse Tour in my city! It was a fantastic time and since I’m from a much smaller town than Toronto, the experience was much more intimate. I really enjoyed meeting them all and they were all so gracious and forthcoming when answering the audience. I have not yet read Megan Crewe’s The Way We Fall & was not fortunate to have a copy with me to get signed. It is however on my TBR List.
I have not had a chance to read it yet.
