We all want to be remembered. Charlotte's destiny is to be Forgotten...

Charlotte’s best friend thinks Charlotte might be psychic. Her boyfriend thinks she’s cheating on him. But Charlotte knows what’s really wrong: She is one of the Forgotten, a kind of angel on earth, who feels the Need—a powerful, uncontrollable draw to help someone, usually a stranger.

But Charlotte never wanted this responsibility. What she wants is to help her best friend, whose life is spiraling out of control. She wants to lie in her boyfriend's arms forever. But as the Need grows stronger, it begins to take a dangerous toll on Charlotte. And who she was, is, and will become--her mark on this earth, her very existence--is in jeopardy of disappearing completely.

Charlotte will be forced to choose: Should she embrace her fate as a Forgotten, a fate that promises to rip her from the lives of those she loves forever? Or is she willing to fight against her destiny--no matter how dark the consequences.

The whole book was all about Charlotte’s needs, and I wished there were more back-story. The little missions in between helped move the story along, but I felt it was unnecessary and it dragged on a bit. I wished there was a more descriptive plot about Charlotte’s and Harlin’s relationship. For once, this book did something different. We already find she’s in a relationship with her boyfriend.

I felt so sorry when Sarah completely forgets their friendship. It felt too real. Can you imagine your boyfriend, your family and your friends not knowing who you are? How hurt and lonely you would feel? I couldn’t imagine such pain.

And that ending!! HOLAY! I wanted to throw the book at the wall. That’s how good it was. Can’t wait for A Want So Wicked!!

I long for him. Then I wonder if anyone has ever felt the way I do about Harlin. Like I’m falling from the sound of his voice. But at the same time I’m terrified, feeling that at any second he could be gone. That the Need will take me away from him. (8)
We stand there, kissing in the middle of the sidewalk in front of his building. But I don’t notice anyone but him. I’m taken in by the feel of him, the smell, the beauty. Harlan is like my drug—my constant need. (105)
I remember every word I’ve ever told you, every second I’ve ever spent with you. And I will never, ever forget you. (264)

Great review! 😀 It can be frustrating when things aren’t properly explained, but the rest of this sounds really, really lovely. I think I may have to check this one out at some point.
