Caitlyn is a telepath in a world where having any Paranormal power is illegal. Caitlyn is on the run from government troopers, who can enslave, torture, or even kill her, or make her hunt other Paranormals. When Caitlyn settles down in a city, she falls for Alex, a Normal (someone without Paranormal powers), which is dangerous because he can turn her in. And she discovers renegade Paranormals who want to destroy all Normals. Caitlyn must decide whether she's going to stay in hiding to protect herself, or take a stand to save the world.

The plot of this book had enough mystery and action to keep me entertained! I have to say I love the idea of teenagers having powers..And having the villains trying to take over the world, and basically exploit their powers for themselves.

Oh and I have to mention the hottie of the book, Alex the swimmer swoons I have thing for swimmers.. And let me say how beautiful it is to watch them fly through the water, all majestic and strong. It always makes me giddy when I hear someone is a swimmer. And Alex being one was definitely the icing on the cake 🙂 (so to speak) Sorry went off there for a bit!

I really enjoyed this book. I mean REALLY ENJOYED IT. The simple idea of a girl with powers who needs to hide from society is just classic! Although I wouldn’t want to have telepathic powers per say. Reading everyone’s minds without any control would drive me crazy. As it drives Cailtlyn crazy.

Cheryl Rainfield writes with just enough plot, dialogue and pacing to make this book a favourite. This is one roller coaster ride full of action and and thrills. I love it. I love the fact that she needs to hide her secret desperately. I love the fact that she wants to help others despite what her crazy brother is up to. I must say it kept me on the edge of my seat. It didn’t take me long to finish this book either.
