Gideon Cross. Falling in love with him was the easiest thing I've ever done. It happened instantly. Completely. Irrevocably.

Marrying him was a dream come true. Staying married to him is the fight of my life. Love transforms. Ours is both a refuge from the storm and the most violent of tempests. Two damaged souls entwined as one.

We have bared our deepest, ugliest secrets to one another. Gideon is the mirror that reflects all my flaws ... and all the beauty I couldn't see. He has given me everything. Now, I must prove I can be the rock, the shelter for him that he is for me. Together, we could stand against those who work so viciously to come between us.

But our greatest battle may lie within the very vows that give us strength. Committing to love was only the beginning. Fighting for it will either set us free ... or break us apart.

Heartbreakingly and seductively poignant, One with You is the breathlessly awaited finale to the Crossfire® saga, the searing love story that has captivated millions of readers worldwide.

review

The drama Llama came and spat all over this one. First thing? The character arc of both Eva and Gideon? Excellent. They both grew and matured and finally started communicating better, marriage counselling did wonders for them. Except for the little blip in the end but okay no one is perfect. Both are extremely flawed. Both have a ton of baggage and emotional abuse and too many bad things happening to them as children. But hey this is the last book and we get to see them grow and start learning how to cope with it. I knew a dog would help 🙂

Then there’s the bad..It was all so repetitive. I hate when things get repeated and all these elements just exploded in my face. The other was also how many things could go wrong, did go wrong.. Especially that ending. It wasn’t needed. It wasn’t satisfying. It was just some other twist that was added. I disliked it so much! *sighs*

If the plot didn’t end that way I would have probably loved this, but sadly I can’t have nice things 🙁

So apparently Sylvia Day has another billionaire meets love of his life book coming out. Am kind of sick of these romances already so I’m turning to romantic suspense novels like THE GIRL IN 6E instead. Those characters hold my interest so much more than this damaged cliché type of character.

This sounds like it looks at the uglier aspects of relationships. Trying to get past flaws and hold things together.
