Top Ten Tuesday #1: 2013 Debuts

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. We’d love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists. For the list of past topics and future schedule, click here.

This week’s topic is all about those 2013
debut books we are dying to read

City of a Thousand Dolls

by Miriam Forster

Been keeping an eye on this one since it’s dystopian, and science fiction all in one.

MILA 2.0

by Debra Driza

Have this one on my self, and I’m super excited to dive into this one!

The Nightmare Affair

by Mindee Arnett

I’m on the blog tour for this one, and the synopsis sounds incredible. I’m also loving that illustrated cover.

by Amanda Sun

I’m such a big fan of mythology, that I’ll read anything in that genre, this one included. Oh and that GORGEOUS cover! Love!

Vengeance Bound

by Justina Ireland

Here’s another mythology retelling of the Furies! And that’s no ordinary looking girl right there. She looks kick-ass, and I’m hoping the heroine is as strong as she looks.

by Jennifer Rush

Been hearing wonderful things about this one, and I’m happy to say I have the ePub ARC of this one.

Let the Sky Fall

by Shannon Messenger

Everything about this paranormal story sounds so exciting, that I can’t wait until it releases.

Pivot Point

by Kasie West

This one has been getting a lot of hype, and I also hear the writing is superb. Can’t wait to dive into this ARC!

In the After

by Demitria Lunetta

Another post apoclyptic one that I’m dying to get my hands on. I’m not a fan of the harsh cover though..

The Madman’s Daughter

by Megan Shepherd

Retelling of H. G. Wells’s classic The Island of Dr. Moreau, I just knew I had to get this one on the list.

Awesome list Giselle! For some reason when I sat down to put together a list I couldn’t get 10 so I gave up and didn’t do it! Oh well. The Madman’s Daughter is one that I REALLY can’t wait for though! Taken is one too, but I don’t see that on your list. Have you read that yet? Vengeance Bound is one I haven’t seen before that sounds very interesting. Furies seem to be the new “in” thing for some reason. Odd. (Also, the author has an awesome name!) Have a good one girlie! Happy reading!

Totally looking forward to City of a Thousand Dolls! Sounds like a great blend of genres and the cover is very striking. Also, Pivot Point has a premise that I think has a lot of potential, so I’m interested to see what the author does with it.
