Description

Sixteen-year-old Pressia barely remembers the Detonations or much about her life during the Before. Like Pressia, most of the survivors have the permanent burns, scars, and objects fused to their bodies. At age 16, everyone is required to turn themselves over to the militia to either be trained as a soldier, or, if they are too damaged and weak, to be used as live targets. Uncertain of her fate, Pressia is on the run.

But there are also those who escaped unmarked. The Pures were safely inside the Dome when the Detonations occurred, and have stayed there ever since. While they are protected and pure, their shelter is a cocoon of intensely rigid social order. Partridge, the son of one of the most influential men in the Dome, longs for his mother, who didn’t make it inside and is presumed dead. When he learns there is a chance she may still be alive, he will risk his life to leave the Dome and find her. And when Pressia and Partridge cross paths, they quickly realize they need each other to accomplish their missions…and to survive.

Anything dystopian themed will definitely be gobbled up by me in one sitting. I can’t wait until this one comes out!
