Book Haul: Stacking the Shelves #18

stacking the shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! Join the meme at Tynga’s Reviews!

For the week of August 26–September 1, 2012

Four books for review this week! And these were all surprises. I practically shrieked with glee opening these packages up. As for my book buying ban, I couldn’t help it when I saw Such Wicked Intent and False Memory, so I will be starting that ban this week. *crosses fingers* I also got my first audio book to review and I’m super excited to listen to it while I work.

What did you get this week?

Thank you Random House Canada

Galley of Wild Girls by Mary Stewart Atwell

Galley of Rebel Heart by Moira Young

Thank you Harper Collins Canada

Defiance by C.J. Redwine

Don’t Turn Around by Michelle Gagnon

Bought in-store at Chapters

Such Wicked Intent by Kenneth Oppel

False Memory by Dan Krokos

I also had to share this wonderful Indigo store that I found my friends Anna and Lucy told me about. Their teen section is so bright and colourful.

Thank you AudioGO!

That bookstore looks awesome, so bright and colourful, the Indigo near my house teens section is kind of plain, although I haven’t been there in a while since I’ve been ordering books from the book depository for the past few weeks and because I’ve been on vacation.

I heard some good things about Don’t turn around, great book haul.

I really enjoyed Defiance! I hope you do too. I wish the teen section at my local book store looked like that. It’s bland in comparison. Happy reading!

Thanks for stopping by my haul!

Wow Giselle! Such wonderful books! The only one I’ve read is Rebel Heart by Moira Young, which I enjoyed – a little less than Blood Red Road, but still enjoyed a lot. Most of your other titles are on my wishlist. Happy reading, and thanks for stopping by earlier.

I am really looking forward to reading Rebel Heart. I absolutely loved Blood Red Road! It’s definitely one of my favorite dystopians. I’ve heard so many amazing reviews for Defiance. It sounds so good! I would never succeed in a book buying ban. I can’t go without buying books! I have so many books on my shelves that I still need to read but it is just not happening. I hope you enjoy your books Giselle. 🙂

Rebel Heart!! I have the eARC from Edelweiss and I lovedddd it. <3

Also, that Indigo is definitely amazing. The Chapters teen sections in London are boring compared to that!

Squee! Don’t Turn Around and False Memory! I also got Don’t Turn Around and I’m reading it right now! It’s the perfect book for computer nerds like us, lol!! It’s not totally accurate in terms of techie stuff but it’s still awesome so far!

And I LOVED False Memory! The finished copy is so pretty — I’m jealous!

Enjoy all your awesome books! You got so many great ones!
