Hey Book Nerds!! A weekly recap of all the posts are listed below. Make sure to drop by and comment! I love reading your comments and feedback <3

Weekly Updates

Book Nerd DesignsSoooo, I broke my book buying ban. That didn’t last very long. Ooops. Maybe I shall try to keep my book shipping in moderation. Have you ever tried a book buying ban? Please give me tips, so I don’t go crazy again. The blog was rather quiet this week, due to my freelance design schedule.

I am officially launching Book Nerd Designs, so feel free to contact me for a quote if you’re in need of any design work.  My first client was Susan from A Soul Unsung, and her re-design is live here. I can do web or print design, flash, video editing, etc. I also collaborate with a very talented illustrator, so if you want customized illustrations, contact me.

Susan - A Soul Unsung

I also have to apologize for the lack of commenting. Been super busy, looking for a job. (Unemployment and this recession is a b*tch).

Oh yeah, follow-up to the book buying ban thing. I totally can sympathize with that. Instead of putting an absolute ban on it, set limits, like one book per month, or one bi-weekly, or something like that. It’s like how some vegans have totally vegan diets six days of the week and pig out at McDonalds on the seventh day. Hope it works!

    My Haul

  30. Sarah O

    October 7, 2012 at 4:25 AM

telling me about was a mistake. I think I already spotted at least 10 books I immediately want. And of course since it’s a flat rate for an order plus a bit per book, it makes more sense economically to buy a lot at once, right? right? Okay, I think I’m better off buying nothing, but it’s taking a lot of effort.

Another fabulous haul! As always, I am jealous. I am definitely curious to see some of the reviews for the haul this week. But I am most curious about what you think of The Casual Vacancy. I have heard some not quite so flattering things about it. Which is incredibly disappointing because this is the amazing author behind the incomparable Harry Potter. So definitely looking forward to hearing about your experience with her foray into the Adult fiction world. Congrats on the awesome haul. And unfortunately I am not so great at the book buying self ban thing. The only thing that seems to help is telling my husband to tell me to wait a few weeks. You’ve got plenty. And even that doesn’t work 100 % of the time!
