In Allison Sekemoto’s world, there is one rule left: Blood calls to blood

She has done the unthinkable: died so that she might continue to live. Cast out of Eden and separated from the boy she dared to love, Allie will follow the call of blood to save her creator, Kanin, from the psychotic vampire Sarren. But when the trail leads to Allie’s birthplace in New Covington, what Allie finds there will change the world forever—and possibly end human and vampire existence.

There’s a new plague on the rise, a strain of the Red Lung virus that wiped out most of humanity generations ago—and this strain is deadly to humans and vampires alike. The only hope for a cure lies in the secrets Kanin carries, if Allie can get to him in time.

Allison thought that immortality was forever. But now, with eternity itself hanging in the balance, the lines between human and monster will blur even further, and Allie must face another choice she could never have imagined having to make.

Good Reads

thoughts

So I really enjoyed the first one in The Blood of Eden series, but this cover change..Eeks..I do not like. It’s too simple and they changed it mid-way sighs

I should really start this series soon! I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about the first book. I read The Iron King by Julie Kagawa so I’m sure I’d enjoy this as well. Great pick!

I think the cover could have been much better but yet again it’s about what’s inside the book that matters. I’ve been waiting to read this book since the second I finished The Immortal Rules (which was about a week after it came out).

This second Blood of Eden book sounds brilliant and I can’t wait to read it!

I hate it when they do cover changes after a series has started. It is one of those things that bothers me to no end and pisses me off whenever I see them on my shelves. It does not matter to me if the new cover is prettier I just want them all to match! I loved The Immortal Rules and I cannot wait to read this one.

Ooh, I haven’t read the first book yet, but I heard it’s awesome! Yeah, I get what you mean by the cover being too simple- it’s huge contrast to The Immortal Rules. Nevertheless, I bet the story will still be awesome!

I like the new covers, but that is probably my love for simple covers! *le sigh* Although, I can understand the hate for changing them right in the middle of the series.

    December 19, 2012 at 1:21 AM

I don’t like the new covers either. 🙁 The original cover for The Immortal Rules looked like a hardcore, dangerous vampire book. This doesn’t look like a vampire book at all. I would like this new cover for maybe a light fluffy read (or something about faeries…), but it doesn’t fit a vampire book at all!
